2 Vogues a day keeps bad fashion at bay.

Shooting with the team at Vogue Greece yesterday. I love Vogue Greece for their amazing sense of style and for adding a Greek Chic element to what they do.

They have a way of styling that I adore, and it is always a joy to see how they set the clothes up...add hair,make up and nails and the transformation is completed better than any make over show . I always wondered why they don't tape the process for web videos? It's amazing to see the whole process unfold. Maybe this is the year I buy a good camera and editing suite?

The nails were a mix of nailzilla crown tips fixed with crowns and amazing diamond details and the second look was a Lisa Logan Minx design...

Can't wait to see the final outcome!

ANT 1 tv on Monday

Monday morning I have been invited to do a segment on nails for ANT1 tv here in Athens, Greece !

I think I'll bring the new Jessica Fall collection REBEL GLAM as well as the hot Chanel shades that we had blogged about a few months ago.

Tom Ford Secret Fashion Show SS12 during London Fashion Week

Well,  London Fashion Week was a whirlwind of shows and the TOP show was the secret viewing at Tom Ford,   which I worked at with star technician Marian Newman!

The TF show was a private affair and included Carine Roitfeld, Anna Wintour and even celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe was on hand to view the SS12  collection.

The nails at the show were nudes on the toes and the hands matched the lipstick shades of red, dark plum and dark brown.  Make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury created a modern look that was strong as well as feminine.  Orlando Pita and his team did the hair which was dry shampooed with his products as well as texturized in a bed head kinda way.

 Daphne Groeneveld, Joan Smalls, Candice Swanepoel, Carmen Kass, and Anja Rubik were among the show’s models.  

Someone leaked a photo on twitter of the model board and created a frenzy...


Tom Ford was handsome in a black suit and white shirt.  I have to say I have NEVER seen a better looking team of staff than the one he has.

ANT1 TV Nail Design Segment

Yesterday on ANT1 TV in Athens, Greece we talked about hot trends in nail art and how extreme nail art is still being seen on stars such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Jessie J.

As well we talked about the new NailPhilia show being held in London and showing works of art from names such an Marian Newman, Sam Biddle and Sophy Robson.

I think nail art is here to stay.  Yes nude polish is big this year, but, maybe there is just too much to express ,on the little canvass called a nail ?  Maybe nails are meant to be accessories full of life and character. Maybe its we just have too much personality and need more space to express it.  Nail Art is here to stay...

The girls looked great at the 2011 VMAs and were sporting some serious nail art!

Beyonce was wearing a jewel red hue and showing off her baby bump, Demi Lovato was rocking the hottest trend SILVER GLITTER NAILS! Katy Perry changed outfits and nails 4 times!  Lastly, Adelle had the nude nail trend in full force with the long almond shape looking beautiful as she sang.
